Kimpton Village Choir

What a lovely morning!

Well, we've just delivered our second workshop for Kimpton Village Community Choir at the Memorial Hall in Kimpton. It was so much fun. We love doing this. There will, no doubt, be another next year. We spend three hours learning new music, learning about music and having a very good laugh. There were around 80 people who seemed to have a fab time. We look forward to reading their feedback slips.

If you are interested in singing workshops and sessions with us, please send us an email via our contact page.

A Royal Disaster in Little Twitching

A new comedy by Tim Armstrong-Taylor

Tom is in trouble. His father-in-law is dead and it may have been his fault. He and his high achieving wife Lucy Worth MBE have moved in with newly widowed Erica, his mother-in-law.  Lucy wants to leave Tom but can’t see how. Tom wants Lucy to stay. Erica wants a bit of peace and quiet.  Tom concocts a plan to save the day involving a burlesque dancer, a snake, an elephant, an operatic drag artist, a member of the royal family and a lion. What could possibly go wrong?

Autumn 2015

Ah yes, we're on a summer break at the moment but we'll be on tour very soon. Can't wait to start entertaining folk in the shires of England.

We will be publishing our Autumn, Winter and Spring tour dates soon - so keep an eye open!

The London Symphony Orchestra: Dangerous Times

I've just finished developing a new concert format for the LSO - for actor and Symphony Orchestra - it's called 'Dangerous Times' and features Shostakovich's 5th Symphony.

Last year I met with the learning team and a couple of the LSO players to talk about what we could do for Key Stage 3 in the Spring of 2015. The players suggested we focus on one work - Shostakovich's 5th Symphony.

From there I suggested that I write a narrative for the concert told from Shostakovich's point of view - through the mouth of an actor, in role.

Well, I'm pleased to say I've just send of the marked-up score. It's been a lot of hard work but I'm really excited. I've written the script, marked up the score for camera positions and now have to produce the digital assets for the show - for projecting. I'm also working on the teachers' pack which will go here - online - in the next couple of days.

I can't wait to see the results on stage at the Barbican on the 9th of March.
